PARI Respiratory Equipment completes launch of "X2 Program" to increase delivery consistency, patient compliance and convenience. PARI has completed the launch of the "X2 Program" that includes 2 reusable, premium nebulizers in all compressor configurations to improve patient compliance and convenience. Patients now have a second premium performance nebulizer to use either as a back-up or alternate for daily use. PARI LC® reusable nebulizers are the most frequently used nebulizers for new nebulized medications in clinical development. The safety and efficacy of the following nebulized medications have been proven with a PARI LC® Plus reusable nebulizer: Dey's Perforomist™, Accuneb®, and Duoneb®; Sepracor's Xoponex® and Brovana®; Novartis' TOBI®; Genentech's Pulmozyme®; and Astra Zeneca's Pulmicort Respules®. "The additional reusable nebulizer gives physicians the peace of mind to know that a second PARI nebulizer is available to the patient for therapeutic and safe delivery of prescribed medications. Patients should not have to settle for clinically unproven, less effective, highly variable nebulizer treatments due to a nebulizer that was not proven safe and effective in clinical trials," said Geoff Hunziker, President of PARI in the United States. No nebulizer company has the track record of PARI in clinical trials for new medications. The X2 Program is reimbursed under similar guidelines and there is no additional financial burden placed on the patient or payor source.
